Widely known in the media as the "Li Bai of the AI World" (AI界李白), Prof. Richard Tzong-Han Tsai is a leading authority in LLM Construction and Interdisciplinary AI. He specializes in the full lifecycle of model development, mastering data preparation, model training, and benchmarking.

Celebrated for his unique ability to bridge the humanities and sciences, Prof. Tsai is a pioneer in Digital Humanities and an educator dedicated to AI literacy. He currently serves as the President of the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI).

His leadership extends to national infrastructure as the Co-PI of the TAIDE Project (Taiwan's sovereign LLM) and the founder of the AI CUP. Under his direction, AI CUP has become Taiwan's largest AI competition, cultivating over 30,000 talents through rigorous, industry-aligned challenges.

蔡宗翰教授(Richard Tzong-Han Tsai),現任國立中央大學資工系教授及中華民國人工智慧學會(TAAI)理事長,被媒體譽為「AI界李白」。他擅長將複雜的 AI 技術以淺顯易懂的方式傳遞給大眾,並致力於連結人文與科技領域。

蔡教授是台灣少數具備「大語言模型建構(LLM Construction)」實戰經驗的專家,目前擔任國科會 TAIDE 計畫(台灣可信任生成式 AI 對話引擎)共同主持人,負責模型訓練與評測。此外,他於 2018 年創辦教育部 AI CUP,將其打造為台灣規模最大的 AI 競賽平台,每年培育數千名 AI 人才。

他的研究團隊在國際上表現卓越,連續六年(2020–2025)獲得 BioASQ 國際生醫問答挑戰賽冠軍。蔡教授同時也是多本暢銷科普書籍的作者,包括《寫給中學生看的AI課》(獲吳大猷科普著作獎—青少年特別獎)與《寫給小學生看的AI課》。
